Regarding the New Coronavirus

On 7 January 2021, the Japanese government declared a State of Emergency over the ongoing spread of COVID-19. This State of Emergency is in effect for Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, and Kanagawa Prefectures. The duration of the state of the emergency will be from 8 January 2021 to 7 February 2021.

In addition to requesting residents refrain from all non-essential outings (especially after 8 pm), citizens are also asked to continue observing basic safety measures against infection, such as avoiding the ‘three Cs’: Confined spaces (with poor ventilation), Crowded places (with many people nearby), and Close contact (with people), in addition to wearing a mask, and hand-washing.

Even in areas of Japan outside of the scope of this State of Emergency, local governmental authorities may also be making requests of their residents. For further details please visit the websites of the government or local governments, etc.

The main purpose of this tool is to allow users to create signage leading to evacuation areas, but it has many other useful templates as well.
