CLAIR hosts career fairs for JET participants in major cities in Japan with the cooperation of local and foreign chambers of commerce to respond to both the interests of JET Programme participants seeking employment in Japan and Japanese companies/organisations seeking multilingual, global personnel.
The two major career fairs hosted annually by CLAIR are held in Osaka and the Greater Tokyo Area (the latter held concurrently with the After JET Conference) between January and April. In addition, CLAIR supports other local governments in hosting career fairs for local companies, JET participants, and study abroad students.
As participation is voluntary, each participant must bear travel, accommodation, and other related costs of attending the career fair on their own. In addition, each JET participant who wishes to attend the career fair must obtain permission from their supervisor so that it does not interfere with their work duties. As a general rule, only JET participants in their final year of the Programme (participants who have submitted their reappointment paperwork indicating that they do not request reappointment) may participate.
Information about registration for the career fairs is sent directly to JET Programme participants via email around the end of November or beginning of December. Please make sure your contact information is up to date if you would like to receive an invitation.

Location: PACIFICO Yokohama (1-1-1 Minatomirai, Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa)
Expected Attendees: 70 companies ／ 400 JET Programme participants

Organized by: Iwate Global Human Resources Development Council
Date: 12 February, 2018 (Orientation on Employment in Japan: 10:30~12:00, Career Fair: 13:30-17:00)

Expected Attendees: 25 companies ／ 50 JET Programme participants, and foreign exchange students from Iwate Schools
