This year on 7 November, 2016, CLAIR and the three ministries that sponsor the JET Programme (MIC, MOFA, MEXT) are going to host a commemorative ceremony and reception to celebrate 30 successful years of the JET Programme.

On this festive occasion, CLAIR would like to invite JET participants involved in performance arts to come to the reception venue in Tokyo with their performance group.

If you are a JET participant involved in such a group together with other JET participants and are interested in this opportunity, please check the details below.

1. Who we are looking for:

・Current JET participants that are participating in performance arts groups

※Preference is given to groups with at least 3 JET participants (other members can be Japanese).

※Groups should be available to perform on 7 November, 2016 (Monday), between 17:50 – 18:00 (for 10 minutes), in front of 650 – 700 invited guests (current and former JET participants, representatives from embassies, local government organizations and the government ministries involved in the JET Programme).

2. How to apply:

・If your group is being taken into consideration for a performance, you will be contacted by CLAIR by mid-September.

3. Travel costs to Tokyo:

・Any travel costs (from within Japan) that occur will be reimbursed by CLAIR according to CLAIR’s travel regulations. Details regarding travel reimbursement will be sent after a decision regarding the performance group has been made.
