As part of the JET Programme 40^th Anniversary celebratory events, CLAIR held a photo contest inviting all current and former JET Programme participants to submit photos taken during their time on the programme! We sought to help current and former participants rekindle and continue their connection to Japan, while also promoting the appeal of the programme through photography that captures the essence of it.

The over 1500 submissions went through three rigorous rounds of judging, culminating in a final decision made by a committee of experts, based on their creativity, narrative, emotional resonance, appeal, artistry and technical merit. The award winners of the contest, shown below, will be recognised for their achievements at the JET Programme 40^th Anniversary Commemorative Ceremony, scheduled to be held on 2 November 2026.
