On 28 February, CLAIR hosted the 2019 After JET Conference at the Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall for JET participants finishing their terms on the JET Programme in 2019. We would like to say a big thank you to the 262 JET participants, speakers, and career consultants from overseas and within Japan for taking time out of their busy schedules to attend the event and make it a success.
While the After JET Conference aimed at providing leaving JET participants information about different career options in various fields, the JET Programme Career Fair (Greater Tokyo) where JET participants could meet with companies seeking global personnel in Japan was held on 1 March at the same venue. This year, we welcomed 110 companies from diverse fields. We hope that participants attending the Career Fair gained useful knowledge about finding employment in Japan, and had the chance to speak with many companies as well.
Thank you for your hard work and dedication to foreign language education and international exchange in Japan as a JET participant. Whether you decide to go back to your home country or continue living in Japan, we hope that you will maintain your connection to the JET Programme and Japan. We wish you all the best with your endeavours after the JET Programme.
